A fine choice. Waters has chosen Hip Hop as his entrance music. Ceaser El Toro could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derek Waters's chin.

With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Derek Waters!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Toro misses with an uppercut
letting Waters counter with a right hand.
Waters thows a body shot but no joy.
El Toro walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Waters fails to land with a series of punches.
El Toro takes a swing at Waters's ribcage but misses.
El Toro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
El Toro will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Ceaser El Toro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
El Toro throws a combination that misses
and Waters counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Waters takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Waters stuns El Toro with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

El Toro throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
El Toro is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Waters's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

and Waters counters with a good low kick that El Toro was not able to check.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Waters motions for El Toro to come forward. Waters throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
El Toro attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Waters slips a jab and a cross from El Toro.

El Toro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Waters moves away.
Waters takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
El Toro clobbers Waters with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

El Toro with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Waters to score with a decent uppercut.

Waters rushes El Toro and presses him up against the cage.

El Toro has a couple of punches blocked by Waters.
Waters tried to land a shot to the body but connects with El Toro's elbow.

El Toro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
El Toro jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Waters lands with an uppercut that bounces El Toro off the cage and back into range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
El Toro takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
El Toro connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Waters ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Waters counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Waters takes a swing at El Toro's ribcage but misses.
El Toro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from El Toro, right into the meat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


El Toro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
El Toro lands with a hook. Waters tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
El Toro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Waters counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
El Toro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Waters.
That kick from Waters tenderised El Toro's leg. El Toro is trying to keep his angry face on.
El Toro throws a right and a left that Waters avoids nicely.
Waters connects with a single shot there.
No joy there for El Toro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Waters lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
El Toro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Waters moves away.
Waters misses with an uppercut. El Toro saw that one coming.
El Toro throws a hook to the side of Waters's head but Waters sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Waters counters with an outside leg kick.

El Toro lands with a good body shot.
Waters avoids the body shot from El Toro.
El Toro ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Waters has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
El Toro throws a hook to the side of Waters's head but Waters sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts El Toro, as that shot connected.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

El Toro has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

It looks like Ceaser El Toro has been cut.
El Toro missing with a left hand there. Waters was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Oh El Toro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

El Toro throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Waters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Derek Waters seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Waters counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
El Toro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Waters closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops El Toro! Waters dives in looking to finish! El Toro is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
