Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Quinlan Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myles Makdessi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joseph comes to the cage accompanied by The Animal I Have Become - Three Days Grace. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quinlan Joseph! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Myles Makdessi! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joseph throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Makdessi fails with a takedown attempt. No luck for Makdessi with that takedown attempt. Joseph leaves Makdessi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Quinlan Joseph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Myles Makdessi. Makdessi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Joseph as he avoids it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Makdessi. Joseph is looking to land body kicks. Joseph fails in his attempt to clinch. Makdessi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Joseph but Joseph pushes him off and we're back to square one. No luck for Joseph with that takedown attempt. Joseph with a poor takedown and Makdessi counters with a shoot takedown. Joseph fights it but they end up in guard. Makdessi looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Joseph has his feet on Makdessi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Joseph clinches up against the cage. Joseph is looking for a takedown. Joseph is working for takedown but Makdessi is calmly controlling the position for now. Joseph is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Makdessi can't fight it off and eventually Joseph manages to take the fight to the floor. Makdessi looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joseph throwing strikes from guard but Makdessi blocks nicely. Makdessi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joseph is one step ahead there. Joseph pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Makdessi is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makdessi is trying to keep Joseph in close.
Makdessi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Joseph defends well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Makdessi pulls Joseph in close to prevent any damage. Joseph postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Makdessi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Joseph, into his guard. Makdessi trying to control the position from guard on top but Joseph is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makdessi won't allow Joseph to get back to his feet. Makdessi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Joseph swivels though and keeps the full guard. Joseph wants to stand but Makdessi is controlling the position. Makdessi trying to control but Joseph is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Myles Makdessi wasn't active enough on the ground. Joseph lands a head shot. Joseph tries to sprawl but Makdessi drives through with a takedown into half guard. Makdessi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Joseph could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Makdessi has cracked it and Joseph is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Makdessi!
