The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severson tries to clinch
and Wariacik counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Severson's guard now.
Wariacik works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Wariacik looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Severson is looking to escape.
Wariacik tries to pass to full mount but Severson defends it.
Wariacik is working for a kimura but Severson is defending it quite comfortably.
Wariacik is looking for a kimura but Severson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wariacik to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wariacik is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Wariacik is trying to work for a kimura but Severson is defending well.
Wariacik escapes and gets back to his feet.
Severson throws a sloppy head kick and Wariacik moves out of range easily.
Severson lands a two punch combo.
The fighters circle, before Severson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Wariacik's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Severson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
