Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Parise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Buoy!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parise decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Parise seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Buoy is trying to stand back up but Parise is controlling him
Parise is controlling the pace.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Parise lands a nice short elbow.
Parise is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Parise is looking to stall here but Buoy recovers full guard.
Parise sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Parise loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Parise controls from within his opponent's guard.

Parise preventing the sweep.
Buoy keeping moving, preventing Parise from controlling successfully.
Parise pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Buoy is keeping the position for now.
Parise wants to control from the top but Buoy keeps moving.
Parise stops Buoy from standing up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Parise slips a jab and a cross from Buoy.
Parise shoots in but Buoy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Parise has a takedown stuffed.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Parise shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Parise is breathing heavily.
Buoy is looking for a sweep. Parise is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Buoy is trying to stand up here but Parise is controlling him well.
Buoy is looking to improve his position.
Buoy preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Buoy wants to control but Parise is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Parise prevents Buoy from improving his position.
Buoy trying to control but Parise postures up.

Parise has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Buoy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Buoy swinging wilding here.
Parise shoots in looking for a takedown. Buoy tries to sprawl out of it but Parise keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Buoy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Parise. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Buoy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Buoy closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Jordan Parise has been cut.
Buoy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Parise. Parise circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Horrible takedown by Parise or perhaps it was just good defense by Buoy which made him look bad.
Buoy lands a jab to the nose.
A right-left combo lands from Buoy.
Parise is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Buoy.
Buoy misses with the combination.

Buoy lands a jab to the head.
Buoy lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Parise on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Parise shoots for a double leg takedown but Buoy sprawls well. He's pushed Parise's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Parise gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A combination from Buoy does no damage.
Buoy connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Parise tumbling to the canvas! Buoy pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Parise was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Danny Buoy!
