Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stig Helmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Warren Worthington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stig Helmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Warren Worthington! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Helmer shoots in but no luck this time. Worthington lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Worthington lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Stig Helmer has been cut. Helmer with a lazy takedown attempt and Worthington makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Worthington connects with a nice looking jab.
Helmer misses with a takedown attempt and Worthington cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stig Helmer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Helmer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Worthington tries to avoid it but Helmer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Worthington to the ground. Worthington escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Helmer has his takedown stuffed and Worthington counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Helmer!
Helmer is rocked! Helmer is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Worthington has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Oh Helmer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Helmer slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Helmer seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Worthington thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Helmer's head. Helmer looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helmer looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Worthington really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Helmer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Worthington seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Helmer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Worthington pulls his head out easily. Helmer trying to control but Worthington postures up.
Worthington winds up and cracks Helmer with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Helmer is looking to improve his position.
Worthington lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Helmer looking for submissions off his back. Worthington works his way into side control. Helmer wants to get back to his feet but Worthington is dominant here and he's now got Helmer's back! This has been an exciting period of action! Helmer is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Helmer trying to control the hands but Worthington won't let him. Worthington punishes Helmer with strikes from the back mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Worthington scores with punches to the body.

Worthington somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Helmer rolls, trying to escape but Worthington keeps control of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Helmer lands a couple of digs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Helmer scoring with some ground and pound. Helmer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Worthington is on top in guard.
Worthington with a flurry of punches that miss. Helmer kicks Worthington off and gets to his feet. Worthington misses with a low kick. Helmer shoots in for a takedown but Worthington shows good takedown defense. Helmer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Helmer with a poor takedown and Worthington connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stig Helmer's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Worthington slaps away a takedown attempt from Helmer, before circling back to the center of the mat. Helmer shoots in for a takedown but Worthington shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Warren Worthington dominated that round. The cut man is working on Stig Helmer's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Worthington sizes up Helmer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Helmer shoots in for a takedown but Worthington shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Helmer. Worthington throws a series of strikes that have Helmer backpedaling.
Nice combo by Worthington! Oh, that's hurt him - Helmer falls to the canvas and Worthington follows him into side control.
Jeez, Stig Helmer's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. This has been an exciting period of action! Worthington lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Helmer! Worthington senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Helmer out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
