Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Papy Abedi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Triplett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Papy Abedi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Papy Abedi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raymond Triplett! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abedi thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Triplett if he has to take too many more of those.
Abedi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Triplett. That did some damage! Triplett misses with a two punch combination.
Triplett misses with a double jab
and Abedi counters with a nice body kick. Triplett tries to close the distance and clinch but Abedi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Abedi dives in and scores a takedown into Triplett's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Abedi lands a couple of decent looking shots. Abedi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Abedi postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Abedi's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Abedi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Abedi distracts Triplett with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Triplett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abedi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Triplett can't keep his opponent in guard - Abedi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Abedi working over Triplett with some ground and pound. Triplett looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Triplett is trying to stand up here but Abedi is controlling him well. Abedi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Triplett is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
