Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norm Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Rand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Cypress Hill - Hits From The Bong. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Diaz scores with a one two! Rand had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Rand will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Diaz doesn't manage to clinch there - Rand circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Diaz!
Rand cracks Diaz with a right hand to the side of the head.
Diaz misses with a double jab
and Rand counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Diaz thinking.
Diaz scores with a jab to the jaw.
A left lands for Rand.
Diaz misses with a wild combination.
Diaz tries to bum rush Rand with a series of wild strikes but Rand uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Diaz lands with an overhand left.
Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and Rand moves out of range easily.

and Rand counters with a series of strikes. Diaz will be more careful next time no doubt.

Rand scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Rand avoids the head kick by Diaz.
Diaz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rand moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Rand sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rand keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz.
Diaz throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The fighters circling - Diaz throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A combination from Diaz does no damage.
Diaz looks to clinch
and Rand cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rand lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Diaz is rocked!
It looks like Norm Diaz has been cut.
Rand drops Diaz with a straight right hand, right on the button! Rand follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Rand!
