Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Arashikage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Arashikage's choice of entrance music: No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zachary Mendoza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Arashikage! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendoza throws a combination that misses and Arashikage counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mendoza thinking. Mendoza misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mendoza throws a combination. Arashikage tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Mendoza scores with a three punch combo!
Mendoza throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Arashikage. Some wild striking there from Mendoza.
Mendoza misses with a double jab
and Arashikage counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Arashikage. Mendoza wants to get back to striking at distance but Arashikage won't allow it.
Arashikage throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mendozas head. The referee calls for Mendoza to work.
Mendoza misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendoza taking a breather. Arashikage tries to work over Mendoza's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Arashikage swings wildly with an uppercut but Mendoza uses good head movement to avoid it. Arashikage lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Arashikage on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mendoza is trying to maintain a safe position but Arashikage gets an underhook and turns Mendoza into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mendoza blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Mendoza wants to break free but Arashikage has control.
Mendoza tries to work over Arashikage's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Arashikage swings wildly with an uppercut but Mendoza uses good head movement to avoid it. Mendoza is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arashikage working some nice short punches in the clinch. Mendoza trying to control the position but instead, Arashikage has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mendoza into the cage. Mendoza misses with a hook from the clinch. Mendoza is trying to break the clinch but Arashikage is controlling him. The referee is keeping an eye on Mendoza - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Arashikage tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Arashikage. Mendoza tries to stall but Arashikage uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Zachary Mendoza. Mendoza throws a head kick that misses. Arashikage showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mendoza.
Arashikage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mendoza feints a jab promting Arashikage to slip. Mendoza then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Arashikage slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. A punch combination from Mendoza misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zachary Mendoza dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mendoza moves away from the strike by Arashikage. Zachary Mendoza is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mendoza drops his hands momentarily and Arashikage takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Mendoza throws a right and a left that both miss. Arashikage connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mendoza. Mendoza circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Mendoza is rocked! Arashikage lands an uppercut, right on the button! Mendoza tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
