PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Lunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Mulligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lunt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Deadmau5 - Ghosts 'n stuff. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eric Mulligan!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mulligan gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lunt pulls guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lunt wants to control the position but Mulligan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Mulligan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mulligan lands a nice short elbow.
Mulligan is nestled in close to Lunt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Lunt trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Mulligan manages to pass to mount!
Mulligan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Lunt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mulligan on the ground.
Mulligan looking to control and managing it successfully.
Mulligan throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lunt has his hands clasped together but Mulligan breaks the hold and Lunt is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Mulligan!
