Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hernan Cortes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knuckle Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortes comes to the cage accompanied by Hard to see. Stone has chosen Gimme Shelter as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Hernan Cortes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Knuckle Stone! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cortes sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cortes. Stone scores with a jab. Cortes acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stone, right into the meat.
Stone digs a good body shot into Cortes's ribs. A kick lands to the mid section there for Stone. Cortes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stone.
No luck for Cortes with that takedown attempt. Cortes throws a hook but Stone blocks it. The fighters circle momentarily. Stone darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Stone lands a jab. Stone stuffs the takedown attempt from Cortes. Cortes gets slowly back to his feet. Stone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stone lands a nice shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cortes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stone. Stone obviously looking to wear him down.
Stone looks to land a combination but Cortes avoids it well. Stone staying out of range there. Stone slips under a jab. Nice defenses there by Cortes. Knuckle Stone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stone connects with a body shot that sends Cortes's belly button to the back. Cortes doesn't manage to clinch there - Stone circles away.
Cortes checks a low kick from Stone. Cortes walks into a left hand. Stone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A big left from Stone misses. Cortes scores with a jab to the body. Stone misses with an uppercut. Cortes saw that one coming. A jab from Stone finds it's way through Cortes's defenses. A looping hook to the body misses from Cortes. Stone does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cortes dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Cortes scores with a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cortes throws a low kick but Stone avoids it. A swing and a miss from Stone. Stone lands a really nice looking cross but Cortes seems unphased.
Cortes is looking to wear down Stone with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Stone connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cortes momentarily.
Jab by Stone. Cortes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Stone tries to bench press Cortes off him but Cortes keeps the position. Cortes looks up at the clock and then as Stone takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cortes smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Cortes tries to move into full mount but can't pass Stone's legs. Sloppy strikes there by Cortes. Stone is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cortes landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Cortes is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cortes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stone prevents Cortes from improving position. Cortes landing strikes. Cortes tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Stone sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Stone is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cortes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stone wants to get back to full guard. Stone is staying active underneath Cortes, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stone kicks Cortes off and gets back to his feet. Stone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cortes. Stone misses with a wild body shot. Stone takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cortes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stone looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cortes avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Cortes moves in looking to clinch but Stone pushes him off. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Cortes blocks a jab. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A looping hook to the body misses from Stone. Cortes does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice shot by Cortes. Stone throws a push kick but Cortes slaps the foot to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Knuckle Stone will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Stone looks to land a left hand but Cortes moved out of range nicely. A swing and a miss from Stone. Stone misses with a body kick. Stone misses with a hook. Cortes ducked under it nicely. Stone lands a body shot.

Stone throws a leg kick but Cortes sees it coming and checks it nicely. Knuckle Stone seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cortes shoots in looking for a takedown but Stone manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cortes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Stone misses with an uppercut. Cortes slips under a jab from Stone. Stone misses with a head kick.
A swing and a miss from Cortes. Stone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Cortes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Stone checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone scores with a jab. Jab by Cortes. Cortes pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cortes is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cortes throws a lazy right hand but Stone sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Cortes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cortes. Stone is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Stone uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cortes has time to react. Cortes throws a big shot that misses. Stone just misses with a punch to the body.
A big left from Stone misses. An inside leg kick lands from Stone. Cortes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stone.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone lands a head shot. Cortes throws a wild body kick that Stone sees coming a mile off. Cortes moves forwards but Stone connects with a nice, crisp jab. A lazy left from Cortes finds it's target. Stone chopping away at his opponent's legs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stone swings away with a leg kick that misses. Jab by Stone. Nice defenses there by Cortes. Stone slips a straight right by Cortes. No luck for Cortes with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hernan Cortes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stone throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Cortes misses with a body kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Stone. Cortes does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cortes throws a body kick that misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. A swing and a miss from Stone. Cortes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stone tries to avoid it but Cortes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stone to the ground. Stone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cortes misses the shot to the body. Cortes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away. Stone throws a jab when Cortes was well out of range. Stone throws a body punch but Cortes moves out of range. Cortes throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Cortes fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cortes thows a body shot but no joy. Stone scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Stone misses with an uppercut. Cortes saw that one coming. Knuckle Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone lands with a straight right. Cortes didn't see that one coming. Cortes is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Stone gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cortes to score an easy takedown into full guard. Cortes trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cortes forces his way into half guard. Stone is trying to stand back up but Cortes is controlling him
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stone is pressing down on Cortes's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Stone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cortes is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Knuckle Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Stone connects with a leg kick. Cortes looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Stone fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Cortes misses with a low kick. Cortes misses with a looping right. Cortes shoots in looking for a takedown but Stone manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cortes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Stone tries to land a front kick but Cortes steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Cortes throws a low kick but Stone avoids it. Cortes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Stone cracks the inside of Cortes's front leg. Cortes misses the jab. Cortes looks to throw the jab but Stone is out of range. Cortes shoots for a double leg takedown but Stone sprawls well. He's pushed Cortes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cortes blocks a leg kick. Stone looks for the body kick but Cortes saw that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cortes lands a nice looking kick to the body. Stone takes a step back to recover. Stone staying out of range there. Stone misses with an uppercut. Cortes saw that one coming. Danga de danga de dang - Stone scores with a four punch combination! Stone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cortes was well out of range. Poor timing from Stone. Stone throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cortes on the side of the head. Stone misses with a double jab.
A big left from Stone misses. Cortes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A big left from Stone misses. Cortes takes a shot right to the bread basket. Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cortes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cortes fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hernan Cortes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stone scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Stone scores with a jab to the jaw. Stone avoids a kick to the body.
Stone misses with a wild body shot. Stone comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Cortes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stone looking to control.
Cortes won't allow Stone to get back to his feet. Stone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cortes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cortes is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Knuckle Stone is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cortes with a flurry of punches that miss. Stone is trying to keep Cortes in close.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet. Stone has control of Cortes's left arm, preventing Cortes from doing any damage.
Knuckle Stone has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cortes is looking to clinch. Cortes thows a leg kick but Stone checks it and Stone counters with a stiff right hand. Stone throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Stone throws a sloppy head kick and Cortes moves out of range easily. A big left from Stone misses. Cortes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cortes throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Cortes throws the left hand but Stone avoids the punch easily. Cortes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stone. Cortes scores with a jab. Stone misses with a series of wild punches.
Stone moves out of range of the strikes. Cortes clinches up against the cage. Cortes lands with a light punch inside. A short right from Cortes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stone blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hernan Cortes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cortes misses with a punch on the inside.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hernan Cortes. I think Stone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
