Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ultimate Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Craig! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ultimate Damage! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Damage gets a clinch. Craig's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Craig throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Damage tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Craig is in Damage's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Craig pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Damage is keeping the position for now. Craig stays in close to Damage's body and controls the position. Craig wants to pass the guard but Damage is keeping the position. Damage tries to land a sweep but no joy. Craig would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Craig stands up from Damage's guard - Craig perhaps looking for a knockout. Craig misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Craig dives in and grabs Damage's left leg, looking for a takedown. Damage pushes down on Craig's head and hops out. Craig takes the fight into the clinch. Craig prevents Damage from breaking the clinch. Damage can't break the clinch.
Damage is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Craig is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Damage is defending well. Damage successfully pulls guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Craig decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Damage, up you get! Damage tries for a takedown but Craig circles away easily and Craig counters with a head kick. That will keep Damage thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Craig shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Craig slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Craig gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Craig.
Horrible takedown by Damage or perhaps it was just good defense by Craig which made him look bad. Damage shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Craig is trying to defend but Damage finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Craig moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Damage looking to pass the guard. Damage trying to control the position from guard on top but Craig is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Craig trying to control the position here. Damage wants to control from the top but Craig keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Simon Craig. Damage fails with the takedown and Craig counters with a slapping leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Craig dominated that round. That's time! Craig's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Craig stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Craig wants it to stay on the feet. Damage misses with a leg kick and Craig counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Craig. Craig slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Damage keeping moving, preventing Craig from controlling successfully. Craig not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Damage throws a couple of heel strikes.
Craig wants to pass the guard but Damage is keeping the position.
Simon Craig has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Craig fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Damage misses with a takedown and Craig counters with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Craig decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Craig wants to pass the guard but Damage is defending well. Damage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Craig keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Craig moves into full mount! Damage won't be happy about that! Craig controlling the pace for now. Damage can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Craig controlling his opponent. Damage tries to hold on but Craig postures up. Damage bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Damage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Craig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Craig looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Damage looking to pass the guard. Craig has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Damage off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Craig looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Craig sitting and controlling from the half guard. Craig trying to pass the guard but Damage defending well. Damage trying to hold on to Craig's head to control him but Craig postures up.
Craig gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Damage throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Craig tries to score a power double leg takedown but Damage sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Craig somewhat. Craig dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Damage. That did some damage! Damage fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The fight stays on the outside here - Craig looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Craig moves out of range of the body kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Craig lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Craig fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Craig. That's going to take a lot out of him. Craig circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Craig dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Damage misses with a lunging right hand
and Craig decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Damage's guard. Damage is working an open guard so Craig takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Craig connects with a right hand. Damage shakes it off. Damage doesn't manage to clinch there - Craig circles away.
Craig closes the distance and clinches up with Damage, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes Damage against the cage but Damage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Craig shoots and misses and Damage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Damage throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Craig pushes Damage off and gets back to his feet.
Craig is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Craig shoots in for a takedown but Damage shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Craig. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damage throws a chopping leg kick but Craig manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Damage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Craig shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Damage is trying to defend but Craig finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Craig looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Craig is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Damage! Craig won't let Damage get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Damage reaches up to try and control the position but Craig seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Damage rolls and tries to escape and now Craig has his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Craig keeps control of the position as Damage tries to break free.
Damage is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Simon Craig overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Craig lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Craig is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Damage trying to control the hands but Craig won't let him. Damage is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Craig.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Craig is cranking Damage's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Damage! He's tightened the choke and Damage is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Simon Craig!
