PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pagpilon BawKor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Chojacki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). BawKor comes into the arena with spectrum blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pagpilon BawKor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Shane Chojacki!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chojacki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with BawKor, pushing him back against the cage.
BawKor tries to throw a body punch but Chojacki avoids it by throwing BawKor back against the cage.
Chojacki goes for a takedown attempt but BawKor pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Chojacki fails to land the takedown.
Pagpilon BawKor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BawKor wants to clinch.

BawKor tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Chojacki counter with a right hand.

Chojacki has BawKor up against the cage in a clinch.
Chojacki blocks an elbow strike.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
BawKor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

BawKor wants to stand and escape but Chojacki is having none of it.
Chojacki not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Chojacki is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Shane Chojacki.
BawKor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Chojacki throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. BawKor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chojacki is in BawKor's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chojacki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Chojacki looks up at the clock and then as BawKor takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chojacki smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
BawKor might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chojacki in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Let's hope that Chojacki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
BawKor is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
BawKor takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! BawKor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



BawKor gets caught flat footed, as Chojacki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Shane Chojacki has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
BawKor tries to clinch there but Chojacki circles away.
Chojacki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with BawKor but BawKor pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Chojacki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Chojacki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. BawKor gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Pagpilon BawKor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Chojacki.

Chojacki turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chojacki manages to end up in side control.

BawKor is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chojacki asserts his dominance and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane Chojacki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chojacki in particular looking to stall.
Chojacki is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The referee warns BawKor that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Chojacki is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. BawKor can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Chojacki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
BawKor wants to try and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee warns BawKor that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Chojacki lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

BawKor is bucking up trying to escape but Chojacki cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Shane Chojacki gave a mention to Dynamic Nutrition $35 159 Recovery in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
