Rowan comes into the arena with NoMeansNo - The Tower blaring out of the sound system. Riad Belhanda is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Rowan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Riad Belhanda!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowan lands a head kick!
Belhanda ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rowan misses the shot to the body.
Belhanda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rowan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rowan throws a body punch but Belhanda moves out of range.
A low kick from Rowan is predictable there
and Belhanda makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Belhanda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rowan to the ground. Belhanda is now in Rowan's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Belhanda lands a couple of digs.
Belhanda trying to control but Rowan is working from the bottom.
Rowan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belhanda is looking to work some ground and pound but Rowan has wrist control.

Rowan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Belhanda defends well.
Belhanda throws a big elbow that misses.
Belhanda throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rowan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Belhanda postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Belhanda in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Rowan working for a triangle but Belhanda defends it easily.
Rowan tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Rowan is trying to keep Belhanda in close.
Belhanda trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Rowan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Belhanda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Belhanda stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Rowan has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Belhanda manages to get his head free but now Rowan has transitioned to an armbar! Belhanda grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Rowan! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

A less than humble Samuel Rowan misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
