Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Matti Nieminen enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matti Nieminen!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nieminen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nieminen showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Garcia is refusing to be controlled, as Nieminen sits in half guard.
Nieminen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Garcia defends it well.
Nieminen scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Garcia looking for submissions off his back.
Nieminen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Garcia!
Garcia working to try and regain half guard.
Garcia tries to lock up and control but Nieminen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nieminen lands a big elbow.
Garcia regains half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nieminen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Garcia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nieminen in particular looking to stall.
Nieminen tries to pass to full mount but Garcia defends it.
Garcia is not content to let Nieminen control the position.
Nieminen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Garcia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Garcia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nieminen pulls his head out easily.

Nieminen is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Nieminen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nieminen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Nieminen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Garcia is breathing heavily.
Nieminen lands strikes from half guard.
Garcia is rocked!
Nieminen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Garcia doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nieminen.

Garcia wants to control but Nieminen is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Nieminen winds up and cracks Garcia with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nieminen looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Oh Garcia is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nieminen drops an elbow to the side of Garcia's head.
Garcia looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Nieminen lands a big elbow - Garcia is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Nieminen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matti Nieminen!
A less than humble Matti Nieminen misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
