Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mahtava Nopea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joao Antonio!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Nopea blocks the leg kick.
A punch lands to the side of Antonio 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nopea throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nopea shoots for a double leg takedown but Antonio sprawls well. He's pushed Nopea's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nopea dances in with a quick combination. Antonio is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Nopea snaps Antonio's head back. Antonio stumbles backwards against the cage. Nopea steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Antonio's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Antonio just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mahtava Nopea!
