Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gran Turismo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Grigger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turismo comes into the arena with In the Air Tonite by Nonpoint blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turismo scores with a one two! Grigger had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Grigger scores with a hook.
Gran Turismo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grigger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turismo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Grigger trying to control the action but Turismo is working from the bottom.
Turismo seems a little lost for a moment, as Grigger dominates the positioning.
Turismo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Grigger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Turismo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Turismo regains full guard. Nicely done.
Grigger missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Grigger must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Turismo has Grigger pulled in close to control his posture.
Turismo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Grigger stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Turismo has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Grigger manages to get his head free but now Turismo has transitioned to an armbar! Grigger grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Turismo! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gran Turismo!
During a confident post fight interview, Gran Turismo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
