The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Best gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fighter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Best tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fighter just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fighter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Best showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fighter.
Best fails to land the takedown.

Fighter tries to bum rush Best with a series of wild strikes but Best uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fighter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Best dives on top into guard.

Fighter controls Best momentarily but Best frees himself.
Best pushes down on Fighter's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Best jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fighter is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fighter and Best has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Best tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Best has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Fighter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Best eats them both and turns towards Fighter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

It looks like Good Fighter has been cut.
Best trying to control the position from guard on top but Fighter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Best stops Fighter from standing up.
Best trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Best sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fighter's guard.
Fighter is trying to control but can't.
Fighter is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Best is staying active.
Best is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Best is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Fighter is forced to tap! Great finish!
