Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blue Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nipon Lunlana!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel shoots in but no luck this time.
Lunlana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lunlana throws a front kick aimed at Steel's knee but Steel avoids it well.
Nipon Lunlana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lunlana misses with a body kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steel is defended easily by Lunlana.
Steel avoids a kick to the body.
Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lunlana throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lunlana throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Lunlana throws a push kick but Steel slaps the foot to one side.
Lunlana goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Steel throws a right and a left that both miss.
Steel falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lunlana counters with a nice kick to the body.
Lunlana looks to land a body kick but Steel moved away.
Steel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lunlana swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lunlana buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lunlana misses with a kick to the body.

Steel moves out of range of the body kick.
Lunlana looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Steel looks to land a combination but Lunlana avoids it well.
Nipon Lunlana is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lunlana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steel lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lunlana will feel that in the morning.
Steel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lunlana swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Lunlana counters with a nice low kick that buckles Steel's knee momentarily.

Steel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Steel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Lunlana counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Steel tries to bum rush Lunlana with a series of wild strikes but Lunlana uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lunlana pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Steel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lunlana goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Steel lands a body shot.
Lunlana is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Lunlana explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Steel shoots in but Lunlana avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Steel throws a sloppy head kick and Lunlana moves out of range easily.
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lunlana was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.

Lunlana avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lunlana misses with an uppercut. Steel saw that one coming.
Steel throws a nice looking combination but Lunlana bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That kick from Lunlana tenderised Steel's leg. Steel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lunlana shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Lunlana throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Lunlana avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lunlana moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lunlana connects with a solid leg kick.
Lunlana scoring well with a low kick there.

Steel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Steel lands in his opponent's guard.

Steel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Steel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lunlana dives on top into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steel working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lunlana has passed into half guard!
Lunlana tries to stand but can't do so whilst Steel controls his leg.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Steel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lunlana's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lunlana's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nipon Lunlana showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Lunlana pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Lunlana counters with a low kick, right behind Steel 's knee.
Lunlana takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lunlana delivers a nice body kick.
Steel is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Sloppy strikes from Steel. Those never looked like landing.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lunlana. That's going to slow Steel down.
Steel checks the leg kick nicely there.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Lunlana. Steel shrugs it off though.
Steel blocks a head kick by Lunlana.
Lunlana feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Steel's calf.
Steel slips a straight right by Lunlana.
Lunlana pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lunlana goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Steel crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lunlana - the referee stops the clock and Steel gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lunlana. Steel manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Nipon Lunlana is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Lunlana throws a lazy uppercut
and Steel counters with a nice kick to the body.
Steel takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Steel scores with a hook.
Lunlana thows a body kick. Steel tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Steel fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Steel. Those never looked like landing.
Steel throws a hook but Lunlana avoids it easily.

Steel misses with a few strikes there.
Lunlana lands a nice looking kick to the body. Steel takes a step back to recover.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Steel checks a leg kick.
Lunlana throws a head kick that misses.
Lunlana throws a front kick that sends Steel stumbling back into the cage.
Jab, jab by Lunlana - just one landing.
Steel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steel ducks right into an uppercut from Lunlana.

Lunlana fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Steel checks it well.
Steel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Steel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lunlana avoids it really well and circles away.
Lunlana misses with a head kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nipon Lunlana comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lunlana winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
