Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heed slaps away a takedown attempt from Animai, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Animai throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Heed tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Animai is in Heed's guard.
Heed preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Animai working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Animai stands up from Heed's guard - Animai perhaps looking for a knockout.
Animai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Heed as he avoids it easily.

and Heed counters with a single leg into guard. Animai didn't expect that.
Mongolia Heed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saizahawla Animai.

Heed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Animai circles away.
Animai feints and as Heed raises his hands in defense, Animai changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Heed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Animai postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Heed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Animai on the ground.

Heed lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Heed thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Animai's head.
Animai is looking to control Heed's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Animai avoid being mounted?
Heed looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Animai with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Heed looks to land a strike but Animai avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Animai gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Heed counters with a nice double leg into side control. Animai won't be happy with that.
Heed sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Animai is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
