Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is PELIMUSA. Banks has chosen All I do Is win as his entrance music. Jose Sanchez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jose Sanchez! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Will Banks! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks lands with a good body shot. Sanchez tries to bum rush Banks with a series of wild strikes but Banks uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Banks moves out of range easily. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Banks stuns Sanchez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sanchez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A head kick by Sanchez misses and Banks connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Banks scores with a nice head shot. Sanchez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Banks ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Banks moves away. Sanchez throws a head kick that Banks semi-blocks.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sanchez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Banks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Banks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Banks lands a nice looking body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Banks moves out of range easily. Sanchez throws a shot from downtown. Banks moves away and avoids it. Sanchez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Banks lands a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Banks lands with a cross. Sanchez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Banks on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Banks throws a body punch but Sanchez moves out of range. Banks avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Banks moves out of range of the leg kick from Sanchez. Sanchez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Banks looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Sanchez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Banks momentarily.
A telegraphed right hand from Sanchez misses the target. Sanchez throws a series of punches but Banks moves out of range. Banks staying out of range there. Sanchez connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Banks fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sanchez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Sanchez closes the distance and lands a one-two. Banks is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sanchez rather than just go for the knockout. Banks lands a head shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Banks scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Banks circles away quickly and effectively. Banks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sanchez.
Banks fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sanchez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Banks was well out of range. Poor timing from Sanchez. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Banks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Banks takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Decent striking displayed by Banks there. Nice takedown defense from Banks. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt. Sanchez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Banks scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Jose Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Banks gets a takedown into half guard. Sanchez is looking to improve his position.

Banks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sanchez has his foot on Banks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Banks works his way back into a safe position though. Banks passes Sanchez's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez is looking to improve his position.

Banks is looking to stall here but Sanchez recovers full guard. Sanchez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Banks keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sanchez's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jose Sanchez will probably get the nod. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sanchez tries to clinch but Banks moves out of range. Sanchez throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Sanchez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Banks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Banks throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. You can see the frustration on Sanchez's face as Banks controls the position. Sanchez tries to improve position but can't. Banks working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Banks working the head with strikes. Banks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This has been an exciting period of action! Banks connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sanchez some visible discomfort.

Banks postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Banks makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Banks controlling him for the moment. Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Banks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Banks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Banks looking to sit in guard and control but Sanchez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sanchez drops back looking for a leg! Banks is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Banks manages to kick Sanchez off! Sanchez jumps back into Banks's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Banks wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Banks looking to control.

Banks ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Banks scores with a jab to the jaw. Banks scores with a crisp jab that stopped Sanchez in his tracks. Banks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sanchez. Banks misses with a straight left. Banks moves out of range of the body kick from Sanchez.

Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Banks being controlled here momentarily. Wooooo! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. A decent looking cross lands there for Sanchez. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanchez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sanchez. Jose Sanchez is winning the standup battle so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Good exchange - Banks coming out on top. Sanchez jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sanchez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Sanchez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Banks. Banks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Banks lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sanchez throws a jab when Banks was well out of range. Sanchez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Banks. That did some damage! Sanchez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Sanchez misses with an uppercut. Banks bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sanchez's head. Banks throws a hook to the side of Sanchez's head but Sanchez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A head kick misses from Sanchez. Banks keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
