Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rich Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Colbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Human Sacrifice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Colbert! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a leg kick and Colbert counters with a right hand to the body. Colbert misses with a hook. Silva displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Silva keeps the fight on the outside. A jab lands there for Silva. This has been an exciting period of action! Silva misses the jab. Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Colbert moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Silva throws a big shot that misses. Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Colbert ducks under a wild hook from Silva. Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Colbert controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to pass the guard but Colbert is defending well. Colbert keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Colbert tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control. Silva throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Colbert desperately trying to maintain half guard. Colbert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Cain Colbert was stalling too much, according to the referee. Silva punishes Colbert's body with a nice straight punch. Colbert has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silva. A slapping body kick lands there for Silva. Colbert looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva lands a really nice looking cross but Colbert seems unphased.
Silva misses with a straight right. Silva throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Colbert stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Silva follows into mount! Silva scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Colbert is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Colbert is out cold! Silva jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rich Silva! Rich Silva managed to slip a mention for his sponsors, Empire Threads, into his post fight interview.
