The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a sloppy right hand. Mayko should have avoided that one.
Mayko fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.
Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mayko.
Jackson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mayko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Mayko avoids the body shot from Jackson.
Mayko shoots and misses
and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Mayko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mayko showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson is not content to let Mayko control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jack Mayko.
Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mayko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mayko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mayko gets slowly back to his feet.
Mark Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Mayko.

Mayko with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jackson to score with a decent uppercut.

and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mayko shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mayko tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jackson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mayko throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mayko takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Jackson lands a two punch combo.

Mayko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jackson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jackson cracks Mayko with a good jab.
Jackson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mayko at a distance.
Jackson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Mayko doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.
Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mayko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oooooh!!! Jackson has knocked Mayko down with a huge combo! Jackson steps away and waves a wobbly Mayko back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Mayko is rocked!
Jackson drops Mayko with a big left hand! Mayko is injured, injured bad! Jackson jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
