Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zhorik Vartanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cristiano Mendes!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vartanov throws a series of punches but Mendes moves out of range.
Mendes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Some bone on bone action there as Vartanov checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Vartanov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mendes backs up against the cage.
It looks like Cristiano Mendes has been cut.
Vartanov plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Mendes to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Mendes just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Zhorik Vartanov!
