The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frank pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Frank tries to clinch but Bearwester is having none of it. Bruce Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A kick lands to the mid section there for Frank. Frank throws a head kick but Bearwester moves out of range.

It looks like Rob Bearwester has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Frank fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick lands from Frank that sends Bearwester to the canvas. Bearwester tries to scramble back to his feet but Frank brings him back down into side control.
Bearwester is rocked! Bearwester is looking to regain half guard here but Frank keeps moving and retains side control. Bearwester is still in real trouble! Can Frank finish him? A lull in the action here. Bearwester seems to have recovered his senses. Frank throwing strikes but Bearwester manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Frank is trying to get back to his feet. Bearwester in side control, throwing shots but Frank defends. Bearwester trying to control the position but Frank is working away. Bearwester is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Frank has escaped the position, nice work there. Bearwester looks gassed! Frank is looking for a sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Frank thuds his right hand into Bearwester's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Frank! This one is all over!
