Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Atapang Atao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylvain Sauvage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Atapang Atao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sylvain Sauvage!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauvage scores with a kick to the body.
Atao throws a sloppy head kick and Sauvage moves out of range easily.
Atao misses with a hook
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Sauvage shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Atao manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sauvage keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Atao's head.
Sauvage content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sauvage postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sauvage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Atao is keeping the position for now.
Sauvage has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sauvage throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Atao works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sauvage thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Atao's head.

Sauvage working over Atao with some ground and pound. Atao looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Atao wants to get back to his feet.
Sauvage throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Atao might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sauvage is taking a breather. Atao says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sauvage not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Atao has hold of Sauvage's hands but Sauvage slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Atao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sauvage on the ground.
Sauvage thows a huge punch but Atao dodges it nicely.
Sauvage seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sauvage connects with a nice short shot to Atao's temple.
Sauvage is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sauvage is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sauvage darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Atao tries to kick Sauvage off but Sauvage keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sauvage works his foot free and advances to mount.
Sauvage punishing his opponent with strikes.
Atao on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Atao tries to get out of the position.

Sauvage with shots to the head and body - Atao looks very uncomfortable down there.
Sauvage breaks from Atao's wrist control and lands an elbow.
BOOM! Sauvage connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sauvage looking to isolate an arm here. Atao doesn't see it coming and as Sauvage extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Sauvage!

A relieved looking Sylvain Sauvage thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
