Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lola DaCola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kanye West - Stronger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago thows a body shot but no joy.
DaCola misses with a jab, cross combination.
DaCola looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A head kick misses from DaCola.

DaCola throws a sloppy head kick and Santiago moves out of range easily.
DaCola tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

DaCola connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Santiago momentarily.

Lola DaCola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santiago lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
DaCola connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Bobby Santiago has been cut.
Santiago defending well as DaCola loads up on a big left hand.
DaCola will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Santiago counters with a shoot takedown. DaCola fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Santiago pushes down on DaCola's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Santiago thows a huge punch but DaCola dodges it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santiago working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Santiago is taking a breather. DaCola says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Santiago has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of DaCola's face.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
DaCola is in a horrible position here. Santiago smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
