The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Ahokas.
Ahokas lands a few punches from side control.
Ahokas looking to control but instead Gronholm has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Ahokas missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Ahokas is working for a submission of some sort.
Gronholm on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ahokas seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gronholm pushes Ahokas off looking to stand but Ahokas dives back in and keeps control.
Ahokas frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ahokas prevents Gronholm from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ahokas is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gronholm can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
It looks like Marcus Gronholm has been cut.
Ahokas in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gronholm in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Ahokas working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That has opened up Marcus Gronholm's cut even more.
Ahokas tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ahokas cracks Gronholm with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
