Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Gordeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Pires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johan Gordeau could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Leonard Pires's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johan Gordeau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leonard Pires! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gordeau throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gordeau clinches. Pires tries to pull guard but Gordeau won't allow it.
Pires is working for takedown but Gordeau is calmly controlling the position for now. Gordeau lands a takedown into guard.
Gordeau trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pires had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gordeau defends it easily. Pires looking to control.
Gordeau pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pires is keeping the position for now. Pires working a defensive guard here.
Pires working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gordeau doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gordeau manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gordeau wants to control from the top but Pires keeps moving. Pires manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gordeau manages to get himself to full guard.
Pires trying to control but Gordeau is working from the bottom. Pires advances position into side control! Gordeau wants to control but Pires postures up. Gordeau is not content to let Pires control the position. Gordeau is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pires looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gordeau tries to bench press Pires off him but Pires keeps the position. Gordeau is not content to let Pires control the position. Gordeau is pushing Pires's head away, looking to escape. Pires manages to hold on to the position though. Pires looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Gordeau's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Gordeau wants to control but Pires postures up. Pires lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Pires working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Gordeau can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gordeau is trying to improve his position. Pires decides to stand back up. Pires steps back and let's Gordeau get back to his feet. Gordeau is breathing heavily. Gordeau keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Johan Gordeau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard Pires. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pires shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Gordeau is in trouble now - Pires has advanced to mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pires working the ground and pound effectively.
Gordeau is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leonard Pires dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Pires avoids the head kick by Gordeau.
Nice takedown defense from Gordeau. No joy for Pires on that attempt. Gordeau closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gordeau lands in his opponent's guard. Pires has his foot on Gordeau's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gordeau works his way back into a safe position though. Gordeau knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pires on the ground. Pires trying to strike off his back.
Pires should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Gordeau throwing strikes from guard but Pires blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pires looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pires not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pires is looking to stand up but Gordeau isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pires looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gordeau has picked Pires up and slammed him! Pires can't keep hold of the triangle and Gordeau manages to pass to side control! Gordeau postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Pires is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gordeau off and has taken his back! Pires is looking for the choke from the back position but Gordeau is controlling his hands well. Gordeau showing good submission defense here.
Pires is looking for a rear naked choke here but Gordeau reverses the position brilliantly into Pires's guard!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pires is looking for a triangle but Gordeau pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pires escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gordeau gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gordeau is pushing down on Pires's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pires is fighting to maintain full guard but Gordeau has managed to sneak the leg through. Gordeau will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gordeau trying to control from half guard but Pires is working away. Pires has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gordeau is working away from the top position though. Gordeau is looking to stall here but Pires recovers full guard. Pires is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gordeau rolls with it to try and escape but Pires cranks on the arm and Gordeau is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Leonard Pires! A very excited looking Leonard Pires rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
