Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Brega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Clould (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Guy Clould! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Clould misses. Clould just misses with a punch to the body.
Clould closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brega circles away. Clould shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brega manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Brega wants to sweep here but Clould controlling him for the moment. Brega is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Clould is controlling him. Brega keeping moving, preventing Clould from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clould preventing the sweep. Clould tries to stand but Brega is controlling from the bottom. Clould loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Clould landing with the ground and pound. Brega keeping full guard, as Clould tries to pass. Brega looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Clould must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Clould misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Brega is desperately trying to improve his position but Clould has a good base and remains in mount. Brega is squirming around, avoiding Clould's attempts to control the action. Clould punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brega is looking to get to half guard. Clould throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Clould thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Clould cracks Brega with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Clould takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Clould misses with a double jab.
Brega closes the distance and clinches up with Clould, looking for a takedown. Brega pushes Clould against the cage but Clould circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Clould fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brega avoids it really well and circles away. Brega keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Clould fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Guy Clould seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clould fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Antonio Brega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guy Clould. Clould stuffs the takedown attempt from Brega. Brega gets slowly back to his feet. Brega slips a jab and a cross from Clould.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clould shoots and misses and Brega counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Clould has a takedown stuffed. Brega scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Brega trying to control the position but Clould is working away. Guy Clould has got the better of the ground game so far. Clould bucks up and tries to throw Brega off but instead Brega has got his back! Brega is punishing Clould with strikes - can he finish him?! Brega throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Clould!

Clould trying to get back to his feet but Brega is in full control for now. Brega has the hooks in. Clould is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Brega scores with punches to the body. Brega is punishing Clould with some ground and pound. Clould holding both Brega 's hands and preventing any damage. Brega wants to control but Clould is keeping busy.

Brega is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Brega doesn't have the hooks in and Clould manages to turn into his guard.

Brega is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brega has control of Clould's left arm, preventing Clould from doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Antonio Brega just wasn't active enough. Brega clinches up against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brega lands an elbow that stopped Clould in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Guy Clould has been cut. Clould is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Brega has Clould pressed against the cage, preventing Clould from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Brega goes for a takedown in the clinch but Clould prevents it.
Brega taking a breather. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brega blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Brega shoots in for a double leg but Clould sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Clould takes the fight into the clinch. Brega creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Clould's defenses. Still in the clinch, Clould scores with a nice short uppercut. Clould is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Brega blocks a body shot from Clould. Brega keeps control of Clould as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Clould gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brega.
Clould tries to pull guard but Brega forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Brega managing to block the knees to the body from Clould.

Brega has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Clould down to the mat. Clould avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Brega. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brega lands a slapping body shot.

Brega chips away with some ground and pound. Brega lands a couple of elbows. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Clould looking for a sweep. Not yet Clould, not yet. Brega throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brega trying to control the position from guard on top but Clould is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Clould wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Brega manages to pass to side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Clould can do anything to dispel that myth. Brega working over Clould with some ground and pound. Clould looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brega is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Clould has managed to free his arm - good work. Brega is trying to control. Clould wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Clould wants to get back to full guard. Clould kicks Brega off and gets back to his feet. Clould drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brega sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Clould is looking to take a break and control but Brega is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clould throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Brega is refusing to be controlled, as Clould sits in half guard. Clould landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Clould wants to free his trapped foot but Brega is holding on for dear life with his legs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brega tries to get to full guard but Clould has control of the leg.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antonio Brega. I think Brega has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
