Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Tischer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Tischer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Santiago! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago throws a head kick that misses. Tischer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Santiago. The fight moves into the clinch position. Santiago stalling against the cage.
Tischer misses with the head strike.
Santiago manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Santiago lands with a light punch inside. Tischer is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Santiago is keeping busy. Santiago wants to break free but Tischer has control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tischer blocks an elbow strike from Santiago.
Santiago is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Santiago is trying to drag Tischer to the mat but Tischer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Santiago wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tischer has him pressed against the cage. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Santiago manages to break the clinch.
Santiago darts in and clinches Tischer up against the cage. Santiago has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tischer after a bit of a struggle. Marcus Tischer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Santiago. Santiago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tischer looks to throw the jab but Santiago is out of range. Santiago shoots in looking for a takedown but Tischer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santiago's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tischer lands with an uppercut that bounces Santiago off the cage and back into range. Tischer slaps away a takedown attempt from Santiago, before circling back to the center of the mat. Santiago throws a combination that misses enabling Tischer to counter with a crisp jab. Tischer fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Santiago doesn't manage to clinch there - Tischer circles away.
Marcus Tischer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Santiago dives in and grabs Tischer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tischer pushes down on Santiago's head and hops out. Santiago looks gassed! Tischer tries to keep at a distance but Santiago has taken the fight into the clinch. A short right from Tischer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tischer creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Santiago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Santiago falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tischer counters with a stiff right hand. Tischer lands with an uppercut that bounces Santiago off the cage and back into range. Santiago clinches up with Tischer and pushes him back against the cage. Santiago tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tischer is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Santiago.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santiago looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Santiago swings wildly with an uppercut but Tischer uses good head movement to avoid it. Santiago misses with a knee to the head. Tischer taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Tischer lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Alex Santiago will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Tischer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Santiago shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tischer defends it nicely. Tischer keeps the fight on the outside. Tischer circles away from the clinch attempt.

Santiago dives in and grabs Tischer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tischer pushes down on Santiago's head and hops out. Santiago thows a leg kick but Tischer checks it and Tischer counters with a nice uppercut. Alex Santiago is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Santiago pushes Tischer up against the cage in a clinch. Santiago tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tischer smiles and moves away.

Santiago is breathing heavily. Tischer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Santiago walks into a stiff left hand from Tischer. Santiago tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tischer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santiago somewhat. Tischer swats away the attempt to clinch by Santiago. No luck with that takedown attempt from Santiago.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santiago wants to clinch up but Tischer keeps it at a distance. Tischer lands with an uppercut that bounces Santiago off the cage and back into range. Tischer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Santiago takes one to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Santiago takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tischer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Santiago throws a head kick but Tischer moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tischer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santiago. Tischer is looking to clinch but Santiago is avoiding it.
A jab from Tischer does it's job there. Tischer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Santiago's hands. Tischer with a nice cross. Tischer cracks Santiago with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tischer is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Santiago pulls out of a head kick attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tischer scores with a jab. Santiago tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tischer uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Tischer lands a jab to the nose. Decent striking displayed by Tischer there. Tischer lands with an uppercut that bounces Santiago off the cage and back into range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Santiago tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tischer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tischer lands with a cross. Santiago throws a head kick but Tischer moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tischer lands with a good body shot. Santiago closes the distance and clinches. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Tischer blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Tischer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Tischer prevents a body shot from Santiago. Tischer prevents Santiago from breaking the clinch. Santiago is trying desperately to land a takedown but Tischer is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Santiago. Santiago working some nice short punches in the clinch. Tischer avoids a wild elbow strike from Santiago. Santiago lands a body shot in the clinch.
Santiago tries to work over Tischer's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Tischer is pressed up against the cage. Santiago has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tischer down to the mat. Tischer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santiago ducks under a wild hook from Tischer. A head kick misses from Santiago. Santiago takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Santiago takes one on the button. Alex Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tischer moves out of range of the body kick from Santiago.
Santiago tries to clinch but Tischer moves out of range. Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tischer swats him away and circles back towards the center. Marcus Tischer is winning the standup battle so far. Tischer cracks Santiago with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Santiago rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tischer counters with a nice body shot. Tischer scores with a jab to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Tischer moves out of range as Santiago throws a body kick.
Santiago swats away the attempt to clinch by Tischer. Tischer wants to clinch. Santiago tries to clinch there but Tischer circles away.

Santiago jumps into guard, dragging Tischer to the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Santiago tries to strike from the bottom.
Tischer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tischer stops Santiago from standing up. Tischer wants to control from the top but Santiago keeps moving.
Marcus Tischer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Tischer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tischer cracks Santiago with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tischer cracks Santiago with a right hand to the side of the head. Tischer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tischer avoids the head kick by Santiago.
Santiago misses with a combination
and Tischer counters with a series of strikes. Santiago will be more careful next time no doubt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tischer looks to land a combination but Santiago avoids it well. Tischer scores with a jab. Santiago acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcus Tischer. I think Tischer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
