Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mordechai Marx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Captain Obvious!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marx moves out of range of the body kick.
Obvious feints a jab promting Marx to slip. Obvious then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Marx slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Marx uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Marx misses the jab.
Obvious throws a series of punches but Marx avoids them all with ease.
Marx pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marx feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Marx stands and steps away. Obvious gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Obvious looks to clinch
and Marx counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Obvious lands a head kick. Marx smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Obvious looks to land a body kick but Marx moved away.
Obvious misses with a kick to the body
and Marx counters with a nice uppercut.
Marx avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marx circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marx throws a quick inside leg kick.
Marx throws out a powerful jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Marx connects with a single shot there.
Marx throws a sloppy head kick and Obvious moves out of range easily.
Obvious misses with a head kick.
Marx thuds his shin into the meat of Obvious's side.
Obvious looks gassed!
Marx throws a shot to the body.
A jab from Marx does it's job there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marx lands a big head kick that sends Obvious tumbling to the mat! Marx takes a step backwards and waves Obvious back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Obvious is rocked!
Marx misses with a looping right.
Obvious is still on wobbly legs! Can Marx finish him?
Marx throws a shot from downtown. Obvious moves away and avoids it.
Marx throws a jab but it's blocked by Obvious.
Marx is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Obvious hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mordechai Marx!
