Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Mykolas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicholai Sweed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabe Mykolas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicholai Sweed! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mykolas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mykolas tries to clinch but Sweed moves out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mykolas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sweed circles away. Mykolas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sweed moves into range and clinches up with Mykolas. Mykolas jumps guard.
Sweed looking to pass the guard. Sweed chips away with some ground and pound. Sweed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mykolas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mykolas trying to keep a closed guard but Sweed is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mykolas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sweed is one step ahead there. Sweed must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mykolas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mykolas has momentary wrist control but Sweed slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweed working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mykolas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mykolas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sweed but Sweed pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabe Mykolas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sweed gets a clinch. Sweed lands a knee to the head.
Sweed gets a trip takedown into half guard. Sweed is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mykolas is just riding it out for now. Sweed eventually gives up the hold. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mykolas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sweed is working away from the top position though. Mykolas is breathing heavily. Nice strikes from Sweed there. Sweed lands with a punch from half guard. Mykolas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mykolas controls Sweed momentarily but Sweed frees himself. Sweed postures up in Mykolas's guard and throws a big left but Mykolas blocks it. Mykolas looking to control.
Sweed working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mykolas's head. Sweed wants to control from the top but Mykolas keeps moving. Mykolas trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Sweed prevents Mykolas from getting back to his feet. Sweed sitting in guard, not really doing much.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Sweed pushes Mykolas up against the cage in a clinch. Sweed gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mykolas regains guard.
Sweed drops back looking for a leg! Mykolas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mykolas manages to kick Sweed off! Sweed jumps back into Mykolas's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mykolas looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sweed pushes down on Mykolas's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mykolas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mykolas throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Mykolas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sweed is working away from the top position though. Sweed wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mykolas keeps working. Mykolas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sweed's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sweed's back! Mykolas working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Sweed is doing well to defend. Mykolas seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Sweed is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gabe Mykolas!
