Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthieu Renaud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Renaud comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Leave Us Alone/ Dead By Gun kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthieu Renaud!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Renaud misses with a head kick.
Renaud misses with a hook.
Smith avoids the head kick by Renaud.
Smith displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Renaud scores with a jab to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Renaud does a little dance to reset his feet.
A head kick from Renaud lands but Smith takes it in his stride.
It looks like Freddy Smith has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Renaud fakes the leg kick and cracks Smith in the body.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Renaud, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Renaud against the cage but Renaud circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Renaud jabs Smith right on the nose. Smith blinks but takes it well.
Renaud throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Renaud pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Renaud fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Smith.
Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Renaud.
A head kick from Renaud lands but Smith takes it in his stride.
Freddy Smith's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Renaud throws a nice outside leg kick.
Matthieu Renaud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Renaud feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Smith crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Matthieu Renaud!
A pretty intense looking Matthieu Renaud took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
