PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Gites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bryant comes to the cage accompanied by Killing in the name. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bryant tries to bum rush Gites with a series of wild strikes but Gites uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Martin Bryant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gites will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bryant feints and then cracks Gites's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gites down.

Bryant has hold of one of Gites's legs. Gites is fighting the takedown attempt but Bryant gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
