Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edward Forbes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cane's choice of entrance music: Bulls On Parade. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Forbes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dean Cane! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Forbes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cane manages to avoid it. Forbes doesn't manage to clinch there - Cane circles away.
Forbes fails to land with a series of punches.
Forbes throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cane counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Forbes thinking. Cane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Forbes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cane cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nice uppercut there from Cane. Forbes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cane with a jab. Cane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Forbes moves away. Forbes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cane was well out of range. Poor timing from Forbes. Edward Forbes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Forbes ducks under a wild hook from Cane. Cane scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Forbes doesn't seem bothered though. Forbes avoids the body shot from Cane.

That's one minute gone in the round. Forbes throws a combination that misses and Cane counters with a straight punch to the midsection. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cane checks a leg kick. Cane looks to land a combination but Forbes avoids it well. Forbes misses with a wild combination.
Forbes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cane connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Forbes's hands. Forbes lands with a nice body punch. Forbes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Forbes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Forbes misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Forbes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Forbes is breathing heavily. Cane jabs at Forbes's body. Cane lands a jab-cross combination. A punch combination from Cane misses. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cane digs a good hook to Forbes's body.
Forbes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cane cracks Forbes with an open hand slap. A shot to the body from Forbes misses and Cane counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Edward Forbes has been cut. Cane looks to score with a jab to the body but Forbes is just out of range. Cane is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Forbes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Forbes there as he acknowledges the shot. Forbes misses with a wild body shot. Cane lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Cane. Cane moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Forbes is rocked! A looping hook to the body misses from Forbes. Cane does a little dance to reset his feet. Oh Forbes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cane rushes Forbes with punches - Forbes moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Forbes goes down! Cane follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dean Cane! A victorious Dean Cane thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
