Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Junichi Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pai Mei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishikawa takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Mei connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ishikawa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mei swivels and escapes.

Mei looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Mei counters with a head kick. That will keep Ishikawa thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
