The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rovio counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Penn's guard now.
Rovio in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Penn is pulling down on Rovio's head. It's preventing any offense from Rovio, at least for the moment.
Rovio postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Penn is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Penn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Rampe Rovio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn throws a nice looking combination but Rovio bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rovio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Penn manages to avoid it.
