Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Keiji Kawada!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald lands a high kick!
Kawada throws a leg kick but McDonald moved away.
McDonald digs a good body shot into Kawada's ribs.
McDonald keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Kawada is trying desperately to land a takedown but McDonald is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kawada.
Kawada has McDonald pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. McDonald manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kawada jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McDonald walks away with a smile on his face. Kawada gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McDonald thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kawada if he has to take too many more of those.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kawada's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Kawada jumps guard but McDonald stands there with Kawada around his waist. Kawada gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
McDonald lands a damaging elbow.
Kawada has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McDonald is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kawada drops down looking for an ankle pick but McDonald pulls his leg out and moves away.
McDonald throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

McDonald keeps Kawada at a distance using the push kick.
Kawada tries to clinch up.
Kawada shoots for a double leg takedown but McDonald sprawls well. He's pushed Kawada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kawada takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Good exchange - McDonald coming out on top.
McDonald lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kawada sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kawada takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

McDonald delivers a nice body kick.

McDonald lands a big head kick that sends Kawada tumbling to the mat! McDonald takes a step backwards and waves Kawada back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Kawada is still on wobbly legs! Can McDonald finish him?

McDonald cracks Kawada with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. McDonald has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kawada to stand back up!
McDonald is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kawada can do to turn this around?
McDonald throws a quick head kick that knocks Kawada silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! McDonald is up on the ropes, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Doug McDonald!
