Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ville Galle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stran Gler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ville Galle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stran Gler!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Galle closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gler did well to prevent Galle getting side control.
Gler is looking to improve his position.
Galle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gler keeps working.
Galle thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Gler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Galle pulls his head out easily.

Galle is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Galle prevents Gler from improving his position.

Gler looking for submissions off his back.
Gler is looking for a sweep. Galle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Galle working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Gler gets back to full guard.
Gler controls Galle momentarily but Galle frees himself.
Galle wants to pass the guard but Gler is keeping the position.
Gler managing to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gler is on top in guard.
Gler with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gler content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Gler missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Gler cracks Galle with a solid left hand.
Galle working a defensive guard but Gler manages to pass into side control anyway.
Galle tries to bench press Gler off him but Gler keeps the position.
Galle is working hard here to advance position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gler wants to control but Galle is keeping him busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Galle is looking to regain half guard here but Gler keeps moving and retains side control.
Gler looks up at the clock and then as Galle takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gler smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Galle is not content to let Gler control the position.
Gler laying and praying for a moment but Galle takes advantage and regains half guard.
Gler not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Galle is refusing to be controlled, as Gler sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stran Gler dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Gler has a takedown stuffed.
Gler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gler keeps the fight on the outside.
Ville Galle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gler gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gler keeping moving, preventing Galle from controlling successfully.
Galle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Galle is fighting to break Gler's control of his arms but Gler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Gler has his foot on Galle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Galle works his way back into a safe position though.
Galle looking to sit in guard and control but Gler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Gler trying to control but Galle is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Galle trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Galle looking for subs off his back but Gler has passed one foot through into half guard.
Galle manages to get to full guard.
Galle wants to sweep but no luck.

Galle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gler defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Galle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gler throws a strike but Galle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Gler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Galle defends well.
Galle trying to control the position from guard on top but Gler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Galle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gler's guard.
Gler wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gler trying to hold on to Galle's head to control him but Galle postures up.
Gler is trying to get back to full guard.
Gler is not content to let Galle control the position.
Galle trying to pass the guard but Gler defending well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gler manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Galle trying to control the position from guard on top but Gler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Galle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gler is keeping the position for now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Galle postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Stran Gler will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Galle tries to close the distance and clinch but Gler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Galle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Galle connects with a high kick.
Gler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Galle counters with a stiff right hand.
Gler tries a head kick but it misses.

Galle has managed to clinch.
Gler has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Galle avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gler tries to pull guard but Galle won't allow it.
Ville Galle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stran Gler.
Galle scores with a hook to the body.
Galle stalling in the clinch but Gler improves position.
Galle stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Galle jumps into guard, dragging Gler to the mat.
Galle wants to sweep but no luck.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Galle is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gler is aware though and is defending well.
Gler throws a big elbow that misses.

Gler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Galle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gler has managed to get both his arms back between Galle's legs - danger averted.
Galle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gler controls the pace.
Galle wants to stand up but Gler is controlling him.

Galle looking for a guillotine here but Gler defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Galle wants to sweep here but Gler controlling him for the moment.
Galle is trying to control the position but Gler postures up.
Gler's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Stran Gler has got the better of the ground game so far.
Galle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gler forces his way into half guard.
Gler is looking to advance position but Galle won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gler trying to control from Galle's half guard. Galle has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Galle is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Galle working a defensive guard but Gler manages to pass into side control anyway.

Gler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Galle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gler passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Galle!
Galle is working to get back to half guard.
Gler throws a strike there. Galle manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Gler takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Galle slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gler passes Galle's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ville Galle showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Gler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
