Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Kamikaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Sugoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Sugoi is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamikaze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sugoi's waist but Sugoi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kamikaze off to one side.
Sugoi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kamikaze chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sugoi can pounce on him.

Kamikaze feints and as Sugoi raises his hands in defense, Kamikaze changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kamikaze tries to free his leg and advance position but Sugoi is retaining full guard.

Sugoi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sugoi shoots and misses
and Kamikaze counters with a straight right hand.

Kamikaze closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sugoi preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sugoi tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Kamikaze wants to pass the guard but Sugoi is defending well.
Sugoi wants to control but Kamikaze is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sugoi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Sugoi is looking to take a break and control but Kamikaze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kamikaze tries to bench press Sugoi off him but Sugoi keeps the position.

Sugoi stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Kamikaze attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Kamikaze throws a solid leg kick but Sugoi takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kamikaze.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kamikaze.
Kamikaze misses with a wild combination.
Kamikaze tests Sugoi's chin there with a solid looking shot.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Sugoi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kamikaze is looking to get to half guard.
Sugoi avoids the attempt from Kamikaze to control.
Kamikaze tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sugoi trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Sugoi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Kamikaze is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are battling for position here. Kamikaze manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kamikaze looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sugoi is one step ahead there.

Sugoi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kamikaze kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Chris Sugoi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Kamikaze throws a head kick that misses.
Sugoi moves in looking to clinch but Kamikaze pushes him off.

Sugoi is desperately trying to improve his position but Kamikaze has a good base and remains in mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kamikaze wants to control but Sugoi is keeping him busy.
Sugoi can't do much from the bottom here.

Kamikaze is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Sugoi is in real trouble.

Kamikaze has his opponent's back but Sugoi is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Kamikaze.
Kamikaze looks to land a combination. Sugoi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Sugoi gets caught flat footed, as Kamikaze shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sugoi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sugoi is looking for a sweep. Kamikaze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sugoi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sugoi is refusing to be controlled, as Kamikaze sits in half guard.
