Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gashi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Woerner scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Woerner decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gashi to his feet.
Gashi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

letting Woerner counter with a right hand.

Woerner shoots for a takedown but Gashi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Woerner wants to take the fight to the mat but Gashi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Woerner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gashi is proving hard to escape from.
Woerner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Woerner has his foot on Gashi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gashi works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Woerner wants to control the pace but Gashi is squirming around nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Woerner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Woerner gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

and Gashi counters with a three punch combo that has Woerner backing up. Woerner nods at Gashi to acknowledge the strikes.
Gashi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Woerner as he avoids it easily.
Gashi shoots in looking for a takedown but Woerner manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gashi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gashi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Woerner sprawls well. Woerner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gashi gets slowly back to his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Woerner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Woerner doesn't manage to clinch there - Gashi circles away.

Woerner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gashi walks away with a smile on his face. Woerner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gashi slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Gashi will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Woerner up against the cage.

Gashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Woerner tries to avoid it but Gashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Woerner to the ground. Woerner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Woerner.

I would just about give that final round to Austun Woerner.
