Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, PJ Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Skywalker!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skywalker fails to land the takedown.
Skywalker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Skywalker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
PJ Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Skywalker.
Skywalker looks to score with a jab to the body but Penn is just out of range.

Penn shoots in and bounces Skywalker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn is looking to work some ground and pound but Skywalker has wrist control.
Skywalker wants to stand up but Penn is controlling him.
Penn controlling from the top position.

Penn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Skywalker keeping full guard, as Penn tries to pass.
Skywalker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Penn with a flurry of punches that miss.
Penn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Skywalker keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Penn shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Skywalker wants to get back to full guard.
Penn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Penn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Penn is tying to control. Skywalker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Penn throwing shots but Skywalker is blocking nicely.
Skywalker tries to roll over but Penn keeps him under control.
Skywalker is trying to control but can't.
Penn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Penn missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Penn throws a series of punches but Skywalker moves out of range.

Penn looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Penn is breathing heavily.

Penn drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Penn as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Skywalker screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Penn! Nice submission victory there!
