The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballswick misses the body punch
and Aldo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ballswick tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aldo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ballswick somewhat.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Aldo will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ballswick throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aldo's waist but Aldo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ballswick off to one side.

Ballswick closes the distance and clinches up with Aldo, looking for a takedown. Ballswick pushes Aldo against the cage but Aldo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
