Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Francesco Chiappinelli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zanderson Zilva!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zilva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chiappinelli.
Zanderson Zilva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zilva throws a series of punches but Chiappinelli avoids them all with ease.
Chiappinelli misses with a series of wild punches.
Chiappinelli takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Zilva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Zilva lands with a kick to the temple. Chiappinelli shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A head kick from Zilva lands but Chiappinelli takes it in his stride.
Zilva thows a left - swing and a miss!
Zilva slips a jab and a cross from Chiappinelli.
Zilva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chiappinelli was well out of range. Poor timing from Zilva.
Zilva misses with a low kick.
Chiappinelli shoots in and drives through. Zilva sprawls well.
Zilva lands a leg kick that knocks Chiappinelli off balance momentarily.
Zilva scores with a sloppy right hand. Chiappinelli should have avoided that one.
Zilva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zilva shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Zilva.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zilva scores with a one two! Chiappinelli had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Zilva bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Chiappinelli clobbers Zilva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Chiappinelli shoots for a double leg takedown but Zilva sprawls well. He's pushed Chiappinelli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Chiappinelli looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zilva slaps away a takedown attempt from Chiappinelli, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francesco Chiappinelli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zilva misses with a two punch combination.
Chiappinelli fails with the takedown.
Zilva throws a push kick but Chiappinelli slaps the foot to one side.
Nice body kick from Zilva.
Chiappinelli throws a jab when Zilva was well out of range.
Zilva keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zilva connects with a leg kick. Chiappinelli looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Chiappinelli steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Zilva. That one must have hurt.
Chiappinelli is breathing heavily.
Zilva bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chiappinelli's head backwards.
Chiappinelli with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Zilva to score with a decent uppercut.
Chiappinelli has a takedown stuffed.
Zilva scores with a shot to the body.
Chiappinelli misses with a double jab
and Zilva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Zilva lunges at Chiappinelli with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chiappinelli's hand.
Chiappinelli misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zilva.
Zilva cracks Chiappinelli with a right hand to the side of the head.
Chiappinelli is rocked!
A solid body kick from Zilva.
Oh Chiappinelli is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zilva closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Chiappinelli out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
