Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucifer Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abe Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Weapon of Choice blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucifer Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abe Jefferson! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones ducks under a wild hook from Jefferson. Jefferson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jefferson was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jefferson. Abe Jefferson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jefferson closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Jefferson pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lucifer Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abe Jefferson. Jefferson throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jefferson misses with the combination.
Jefferson fails with the takedown. Jefferson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jefferson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones leaves Jefferson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jefferson throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range. Jefferson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones tests Jefferson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jefferson shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jefferson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Jones pushes Jefferson up against the cage in a clinch. Jones taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Jones lands a right hand. Jefferson taking a breather. Jones is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Jones as Jefferson tries to tie him up. Jones tries a body shot but Jefferson blocks it.
Jones scores with a nice hook to the head. Jones lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jefferson backwards. Jefferson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jones after a bit of a struggle. Jefferson wants to break free but Jones has control.

Jones works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Jefferson tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Jefferson drops back down to his feet.

Jones lands a body punch. Jefferson tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Jefferson tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage. Jones dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Jones tries a knee to the head but Jefferson blocks it.
Jones working some nice short punches in the clinch. Jefferson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jefferson. Jefferson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jefferson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. Jefferson fails to land the takedown. Jefferson throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jefferson. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones takes a swing at Jefferson's ribcage but misses. Jones turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Jefferson cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jefferson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jefferson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. A big right from Jefferson misses. Lucifer Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones moves out of range as Jefferson strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucifer Jones dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jefferson ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Jefferson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones! Jones is in a horrible position here. Jefferson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones tries to lock up and control but Jefferson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jones gets back to half guard. Jones tries to get to full guard but Jefferson has control of the leg. Jefferson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jefferson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jones defends it well. Jefferson is just content to waste time from the top position. Jones takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Jones keeping full guard, as Jefferson tries to pass. Jones working for a triangle but Jefferson defends it easily.
Jefferson postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow. Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jefferson throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jefferson's guard. Nice move by Jones! Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jefferson kicks Jones off and gets to his feet. Jones walks into a stiff left hand from Jefferson. Jefferson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jefferson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jones. Jones circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jefferson dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Jefferson's head and hops out. Horrible takedown by Jefferson or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Jefferson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lucifer Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abe Jefferson.

It connects and Jefferson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Jones moves out of range of the strikes. Jones bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jones misses with the combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jefferson shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Jefferson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jefferson misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Abe Jefferson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jefferson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jefferson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jefferson is controlling him. Jones is trying to keep Jefferson in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Good exchange - Jones coming out on top. Jefferson shoots in but no luck this time. A punch combination from Jefferson misses. Jefferson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Abe Jefferson has been cut. Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jones looking to throw knees to the head but Jefferson is blocking nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jones throws a leg kick which misses Jefferson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jefferson tries to avoid it. Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Jones tries to land a leg kick but Jefferson saw it coming and moves away.

Jefferson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Jefferson shoots in. Jefferson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a leg kick. Jones lands a lovely overhand right. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jefferson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jefferson swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jefferson with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Jones has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Jones throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Jones jabs Jefferson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jefferson's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Jones dips to his left and cracks Jefferson with an uppercut! Jefferson throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Jefferson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jefferson swings and misses with a shot to the body and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jones bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jefferson's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Lucifer Jones showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
