Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vito Ferrari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez's entrance music is Spill The Wine - War. A fine choice. Vito Ferrari is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vito Ferrari! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Perez or perhaps it was just good defense by Ferrari which made him look bad. Perez tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Perez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Perez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Perez slips a nice elbow through Ferrari's hands, connecting with Ferrari's forehead. Ferrari is trying to maintain the position but Perez is very close to passing his half guard. Perez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ferrari is trying to get back to full guard. Perez missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ferrari is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Perez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Perez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ferrari defends it well. Ferrari gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez wants to control from the top but Ferrari keeps moving. Ferrari wants to sweep but no luck. Perez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ferrari is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ferrari has escaped and now he's on top! Perez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Perez has a closed guard, preventing Ferrari from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ferrari wants to get up but he can't break Perez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ferrari stands up and waves to Perez to follow him. Vito Ferrari is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ferrari is fending him off so far but Perez persists. Nope, Ferrari circles away and we're back to standing. Ferrari throws a front kick aimed at Perez's knee but Perez avoids it well. Perez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Perez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ferrari, as that shot connected.
It looks like Billy Perez has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perez shoots in for a takedown but Ferrari shows good takedown defense. Ferrari moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Perez with a lazy takedown attempt and Ferrari counters with a thumping low kick. Ferrari doesn't manage to clinch there - Perez circles away.
Perez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ferrari throws out the jab. Ferrari tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ferrari lands a jab to the head.
Perez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ferrari sprawls well. Ferrari wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Perez gets slowly back to his feet. Perez misses with a takedown attempt - Ferrari sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Ferrari finds it's way through Perez's defenses. Perez misses with a two punch combination.
Perez tries for a takedown but Ferrari sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Perez shoots in but Ferrari avoids the takedown attempt easily. Perez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Perez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ferrari makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Perez is breathing heavily. Ferrari lands with a nice body punch. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ferrari, right into the meat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ferrari, as that shot connected.
Perez is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ferrari lets loose with a powerful body kick. Perez will feel that in the morning. Oh Perez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ferrari uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Perez sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Ferrari jabs Perez to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ferrari closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Perez! Ferrari dives in looking to finish! Perez is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vito Ferrari!
