The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ciacovsky shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hardy is trying to defend but Ciacovsky finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ciacovsky is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ciacovsky seems to be looking for submissions.
Ciacovsky is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Hardy manages to get to full guard.
Ciacovsky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ciacovsky avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hardy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ciacovsky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ciacovsky stands up over Hardy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ciacovsky content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hardy has locked up a guillotine! Hardy's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ciacovsky is holding on here and Hardy must be using up a lot of energy. Ciacovsky has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hardy gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
