Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Kincaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Lynott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kincaid comes to the cage accompanied by Jesus Wept - Suffocation (Effigy of the Forgotton) . Lynott has chosen Out in the Fields as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Kincaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phil Lynott!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kincaid connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lynott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kincaid manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lynott wants to clinch
and Kincaid counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lynott.
Lynott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kincaid swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kincaid ducks under a wild hook from Lynott.
Kincaid misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lynott connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kincaid lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lynott scores with the left hand. Kincaid knows he should have avoided that one.
Lynott misses with an uppercut. Kincaid saw that one coming.
Phil Lynott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lynott chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kincaid can pounce on him.

Lynott is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kincaid fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lynott looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lynott throws a push kick but Kincaid slaps the foot to one side.
Kincaid looks for the body kick but Lynott saw that one coming.

Lynott uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kincaid.
Lynott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kincaid throws out the jab.

Kincaid closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kincaid throwing shots but Lynott is blocking nicely.
Kincaid thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kincaid wants to pass the guard but Lynott is defending well.

Lynott regains full guard. Nicely done.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lynott wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Lynott is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kincaid is controlling him.
Kincaid postures up in Lynott's guard and throws a big left but Lynott blocks it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Lynott pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Kincaid makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Lynott pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kincaid is out of range and Lynott settles back down.
Kincaid throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Kincaid throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lynott was covering up waiting for the punch and Kincaid finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kincaid keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lynott's head.
Kincaid is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kincaid distracts Lynott with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kincaid in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kincaid stands up from Lynott's guard - Kincaid perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kincaid gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kincaid is trying to break the clinch but Lynott is controlling him.
Kincaid lands with a right to the head.
Lynott misses with an elbow over the top.
Kincaid blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kincaid jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lynott walks away with a smile on his face. Kincaid gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lynott turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Lynott looks to land a left hand but Kincaid moved out of range nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kincaid cracks Lynott with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lynott tries to clinch up but Kincaid circles away and keeps his distance.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Kincaid dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

It looks like Phil Lynott has been cut.
Lynott throws a head kick but Kincaid moves out of range.

Lynott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lynott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lynott has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Lynott fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kincaid on the side of the head.

Lynott swings for the body but Kincaid moves out of range.

Kincaid uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lynott.
Kincaid lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kincaid avoids a kick to the body.
Kincaid wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lynott fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kincaid closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lynott lands an elbow inside that Kincaid shrugs off.


It looks like Billy Kincaid has been cut.
Kincaid blocks an elbow strike.
Lynott tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lynott just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kincaid's brow.
Kincaid dodges an elbow strike from Lynott.
Lynott misses with an elbow over the top.
Lynott is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kincaid is defending well for now.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Kincaid turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Lynott tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kincaid wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Billy Kincaid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lynott is pushing Kincaid's head away, looking to escape. Kincaid manages to hold on to the position though.

Kincaid pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Lynott is rocked!
Lynott takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Kincaid's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
