Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnoldo Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chocolate Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al has chosen Vanha kaarti laulaa - Oolannin sota as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Arnoldo Spong has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arnoldo Spong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chocolate Al!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Spong there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Al throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Al will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Spong swinging wildly here.
Arnoldo Spong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Al tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spong was well out of range. Poor timing from Al.
Al throws the kick towards the body but Spong avoids it.
Spong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Al connects with a leg kick. Spong looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Al dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Spong. That did some damage!
Spong lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Spong counters with a one-two to the body.

and Al counters with a series of strikes. Spong will be more careful next time no doubt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Al throws a leg kick that misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Al lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Spong has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Spong and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Spong throws a head kick that Al semi-blocks.
Spong tries a head kick but it misses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Al, right into the meat.
Al throws a right hand that misses
and Spong counters with a nice body shot.
Al throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Al fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Spong on the side of the head.
Spong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Al was well out of range. Poor timing from Spong.
Spong lands with a slapping head kick.
Al closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Spong throws a head kick that misses.
Decent striking displayed by Al there.
Spong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Al misses with a kick to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spong crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Al - the referee stops the clock and Spong gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Al. Spong manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Al scores with a hook to the body. Spong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Al tries to land a front kick but Spong steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Al connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Spong's hands.
Al avoids the body shot from Spong.
Al throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A looping hook to the body misses from Al. Spong does a little dance to reset his feet.
Al closes the distance and pushes Spong back into the ropes.
Al breaks the clinch.
Al wants to slow Spong down by chopping away at his legs.
Spong connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Al momentarily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Spong throws a push kick but Al slaps the foot to one side.
Spong misses with a few strikes there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chocolate Al dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Al thuds his right hand into Spong's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Al is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Al moves out of range of the body kick.
Al pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Spong just misses with a punch to the body.
Al tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Spong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Arnoldo Spong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Al throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Spong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Spong throws a solid leg kick but Al takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Spong.
Al dodges the punch combination from Spong.

Al throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Al slips a jab and a cross from Spong.
Chocolate Al seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Al clinches up with Spong and pushes him back against the ropes.

A solid leg kick lands there for Al.

Al throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Spong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Al circles away quickly and effectively.
Al throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Al ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spong moves away.
Al avoids the body shot from Spong.
Al throws a head kick that misses.
Al throws a leg kick but Spong sees it coming and moves out of range.
Al tries to clinch but Spong is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Spong throws a lazy right hand but Al sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chocolate Al showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Al is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Spong rather than just go for the knockout.

Al with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Spong to score with a decent uppercut.

Spong throws a leg kick but Al sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Al looks to land a left hand but Spong moved out of range nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Al.
Al rushes Spong and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Al just leaning against Spong, taking a breather.

Spong will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Al fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Al connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Al throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Al tries to work over Spong's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Al pushes Spong back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
And that's the end of the fight!
Chocolate Al comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Al has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
