Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Alejandro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Godley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcos Alejandro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Godley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Chris Godley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Godley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alejandro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Godley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Godley stands and throws Alejandro's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Alejandro is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Godley asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Alejandro sneaks out the side door and pushes Godley away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Godley has hold of Alejandro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alejandro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Alejandro is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Godley has control of Alejandro's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alejandro regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Alejandro sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Godley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Godley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alejandro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Godley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Alejandro kicks Godley off and gets back to his feet.
Godley shoots in and drives through. Alejandro sprawls well.

and Alejandro counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Alejandro seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Alejandro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Godley is trying to defend but Alejandro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Godley is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Alejandro rolls with it to try and escape but Godley cranks on the arm and Alejandro is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
